What have you found challenging about math this year?

This year in math it hasn't been too challenging for me. I feel like it's the perfect speed. One thing that does challenge me is remembering lots of different formulas and converting different units. I also feel like the reviews aren't always like the test, so it makes it hard. The last thing that makes 7/8 math hard is when we have a sub. Sometimes the subs don't know how to show us what to do, and they teach it horribly. Those are some of the ways why I think math can be hard sometimes, but I think it is the perfect speed. Not too hard, but not too easy. The perfect challenge.

What have you done to overcome these challenges?

There are many ways that I have tried to overcome these challenges. When we learn formulas, I try to remember them by studying them and doing all of my homework. Sometimes I even write flashcards to remember formulas. This usually helps. I still don't really know how to convert units though, but maybe I could try writing them on flashcards too. The reviews I an't do much about, but I do go through the chapter before a test doing problems from each unit to help me review more. Lastly, subs. Well I can't do much about that but I usually ask my friends for help or read it over. Sometimes I even look online.

What are you most proud of in math this year? Explain why

I am most proud of my math test grades this year. I got an 100% on two tests in a row and on all the others I get like 1-3 problems wrong. I always try my best on tests and study as much as possible. I guess it paid off! That's why I am most proud of my unit math tests.

What is your personal goal in math for the rest of the school year? Why?

My personal goal in math for the rest of the year is to do better on my mixed quizes. I know the concepts that are on them, except I just can't do it when it comes to the mixed quizes. Maybe I should try to study the concepts more before a mixed quiz. That might help. I usually get around 5 wrong every time. UGH!!

What math activity would you like your parents to try and why?

The math activity that I am going to have my parents try is an IXL activity.
